What’s the best SIP Phone on the Market Today?

What’s the best SIP Phone on the Market Today?

More and more businesses are turning to Voice over Internet Protocol phone systems for their needs.  And just as important as choosing a carrier- is choosing the right business VoIP phone.  The technology is new to many businesses; for that reason, it’s important to make sure that the voip phone that you choose for your business has all the features that you want or need.

Cisco is a business voip phone option that many businesses are using for their voip needs.  It’s a very impressive voip phone with lots of bells and whistles.  The Cisco business voip phone has wonderful sound quality, excellent visuals, and a rather large functioning keypad and high-resolution, graphical display screen for ease of use.  The Cisco Voip is also fast when it comes to booting up; something many businesses want and often need.  Depending on which model you choose, your Cisco Voip phone may offer direct voicemail access, identification of incoming messages, and multiple line capability.  Many models have flash memory so the business voip phone can grow as technology changes.  Currently, Cisco is one of the more expensive brands on the market; however, there are a few less expensive Cisco voip phones currently available.

Another popular brand on the voip business phone market is Aastra.  If you were to compare the two types of phones; imagine the Cisco a yacht and the Aastra a sailboat.  The Aastra voip phone for business is very basic with very few functions.  Although great for some businesses that want to save money- it’s pretty much a bottom line option in voip business phones.  Sound and voice quality are somewhat poor when compared to the Cisco brands; as well, the boot time is longer.  However, if you’re just starting out with voip and you’re not particularly looking for the “best” on the market; this is an economical choice.

For those that are looking for something that falls in the middle grounds- there is Polycom business voip phones systems.  For the price, this is your best bet when it comes to sound quality, display, and features.  It’s not a technological advanced voip phone system, however, the Polycom is easy to customize.  Some have said that the boot time is longer than Cisco; but for the price- a little longer wait may not be that big a deal.  Its appearance is also not as sleek and high tech as the Cisco; so if you’re worried about appearances- you may opt for the Cisco.

Each of these voip business phone systems have several models on the market that businesses should review prior to committing to one particular type.  As the price rises with each Voip brand- so does the technology that you will receive.  And although opinions vary from one business owner to the next- the majority all say any Voip phone beats having none.
