Speed Dial 8 and Speed Dial 100
John Scarborough: There are two types of speed dialing available to you, speed dial 8 and speed dial 100. First, speed dial 8 will allow you to identify eight separate phone numbers to speed dial and it’s as easy to use as pressing that number and hitting the dial button.
From your Web portal, you will want to go to the Outgoing Calls section listed on the left hand side. You will then see the Speed Dial 8 feature listed. Click on the feature and it will take you into the set-up. You will be able to enter in eight separate numbers or extensions under the phone number section then you can add a name to identify what those numbers are under the name section. Once you are done adding in all of your speed dials, then you just press OK and your speed dials are ready for use. To use the speed dial 8, all you have to do is dial the corresponding number on your phone and hit dial.
The other speed dial option is the speed dial 100 feature. This is typically used if you’re setting up a company directory or a large personal contact list. From the Outgoing Calls section listed on the left, you will click on the Speed Dial 100 feature. First click on the Add button to add a contact name and number. This will take you to a new screen with the options to set up that contact. You change the speed dial code you want to use, the name or description of what that phone number is and then the 10-digit phone number or extension you want the speed dial to call. Once all of this information is entered, hit the OK button. This will add the speed dial contact to your list. You are now set to speed dial from the list you created. To speed dial from your speed dial 100 list, all you have to do from your phone is hit pound and then the speed dial code that you would like to dial.
So for example, if you want to dial the speed dial code 00, then you would hit pound plus 00 and then dial. This will call the number that you have set up as a speed dial code for 00.
